Fiona Siew, Lead Teacher

My yoga journey started in 2013 when I picked it up as an alternative body conditioning routine to complement my running regime.

I delved deeper into it and in 2018, I became a certified yoga teacher after completing 200 hours of training under yoga teachers Lynn Yeo and Sumei Shum at Space and Light Yoga Singapore. I have taught in Ziva Yoga and am currently teaching at Mudita Yoga Singapore on Saturdays. In 2022, I started my 300 Hours Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training with Nithya Priyan.

My teaching philosophy is to provide students with a grounded and safe practice, guided by a keen understanding of alignment.

Outside of the studio, I lead yoga classes in collaboration with Lululemon as their ambassador in Singapore. In 2018, I started a collaboration with a local running group, The High Panters, where I lead community yoga classes to raise funds for Hope for The Family Thailand, a children’s home for girls at risk.

The year 2020 changed the way we live and made way for new forms of practising and teaching yoga. It brought yoga back to its core—that you can practice it anywhere you are. During the homestay period, I worked with sports enthusiasts from different disciplines to bring yoga closer to everyone and new audiences. We did a series of live workout sessions on Instagram that combined mobility-focused exercises with yoga. These weekly live workout sessions were well-received and were also the inspiration behind my wellness & lifestyle programming initiatives at The Yoga Bloc.

I believe yoga is for everyone and I will be honoured to be part of your yoga journey.
